Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sells 2M Copies in Under Two Weeks #
After a record launch, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 just pulled off a medieval miracle - 2 million copies sold in less than 14 days across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The numbers:
- 250,000+ peak concurrent Steam players (compared to 96,069 for the original)
- Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors confirmed it "significantly outperformed expectations"
- Console numbers aren't available but would push total concurrent players even higher
The game's 2025 roadmap includes:
- Spring: Free updates with Barbers customization, Hardcore Mode, Horse Racing
- Summer: "Brushes with Death" paid expansion following Henry helping a mysterious artist
- Autumn: "Legacy of the Forge" exploring protagonist's adoptive father's history
- Winter: "Mysteria Ecclesia" featuring a covert monastery mission
Looks like medieval Europe is more popular than modern battle royales right now. Who knew plate armor would be this season's hottest fashion trend?
Astro Bot Conquers DICE Awards with 5 Wins Including GOTY #
Astro Bot just pulled off a victory royal at the 28th DICE Awards, snagging Game of the Year plus four other trophies:
- Outstanding Achievement in Animation
- Outstanding Technical Achievement
- Family Game of the Year
- Outstanding Achievement in Game Design
Helldivers 2 wasn't far behind with 4 wins including Action Game of the Year and Online Game of the Year.
The industry also celebrated two legends:
- Nintendo's former EVP of Operations received the Lifetime Achievement Award
- Insomniac founder Ted Price (who recently announced retirement) entered the Hall of Fame after three decades leading the Spider-Man and Ratchet & Clank studio
This DICE ceremony had more categories than a Skyrim character creation screen. But hey, at least the winners got to skip the unskippable acceptance speech cutscenes.
Xbox Game Pass Adds Four Games in Late February #
Microsoft's Game Pass lineup for late February is slimmer than a speed runner's completion time:

- Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Feb 20 (Standard, Ultimate, PC)
- Watch Dogs: Legion - Feb 20 (Standard, Ultimate, PC)

Remember: Game Pass subscribers get 20% off if you want to keep any departing games. Better grab those Yakuza titles before they're sleeping with the digital fishes.
